Hilary Scott


Hilary has worked across a wide range of buying and marketing disciplines within the Co-op movement; from developing and designing own label products, managing frozen food and chilled ranges including their promotional programmes to inventory management and supply change rationalisation.  Her recent part-time portfolio includes businesses from many sectors; health (both NHS and private), finance, retail and charity, where she has developed and more importantly implemented their marketing strategies. Her aim is to always make a positive contribution to the bottom line.  Hilary has excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, able to motivate a team to deliver sustainable change.



Implemented Physiofit’s marketing strategy, created a new website, designed new marketing collateral and successfully introduced the use of social media platforms.
Developed a marketing pack to increase links with local business, referral partners etc.
Sales increased by 25%, profit by 35%.

White Cloud Website Design
Set up the business in 2014, 20 sites have been completed.

Calderwood Pensions Limited
Implemented a marketing strategy for their new SIPP and SSAS products. This involved direct marketing, B2B marketing, a new website. The resulting sales growth led to them being acquired by an off-shore provider.

Foot Essentials
Created a marketing plan for a small local business who wanted to expand into the retail sector. Sales revenue doubled in 12 months.

The Co-operative Group Manchester 1989-2002
Implemented the CIC marketing strategy. Developed a process for all stores within the 5 Co-op groups to deliver the agreed promotional activity and the design of POS material.
Responsible for the frozen food/provisions range in 300 stores. This involved the implementation of the marketing strategy, designing own label packaging, promotional material, negotiating price promotions and special offers.
