A commercial marketing leader with over 18 years’ experience launching and growing businesses around the globe in the entertainment, education, finance and technology sectors for companies such as McCann-Erickson, BBC-Worldwide, NBC-Universal, Hutchison-Whampoa, Zipcar, The Institute of Digital Marketing online (The IDM), The Academy of Digital Business Leaders (The ADBL) and Imagine Cruising. Tim combines a pro-active and entrepreneurial approach with commercial understanding and expertise in digital marketing. Tim is a data-driven senior marketer, who combines analysis and planning with innovative thinking and solid experience across all marketing disciplines.  During his career, Tim has helped businesses to:  Establish best practice digital marketing campaigns and build digital teams, Develop and launch new brands and products around the world, Run effective global advertising campaigns, Grow successfully and sustainably.



Freedman International
Built a marketing team, established a new brand and marketing strategy and oversee the weekly performance. Have led a re-brand, delivered a new website, launched major piece of thought leading content, organised two international events for key target and set-up marketing automation, CRM and advertising campaigns.

ClickZ Podcast Host
Set up and regularly produce podcast episodes for ClickZ, the world’s largest community of professional marketers. 26 episodes have been recorded to date, with over 15,000 listeners across the globe. Also hosted a number of events for senior marketers, including breakfast roundtables, webinars and conferences.

The Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing (IDM) Online
Built, planned and ran this joint venture business, training over 800 professional marketers around the world. Responsible for all aspects of setting up and running the business, managing teams that delivered the course content, technology, marketing, sales and customers, with overall responsibility for the commercial success. IDM Online achieved £1m+ turnover within 12 months of launching.

Transformed and restructured the marketing team into a highly agile, digital first marketing team through establishing effective new processes, building a highly effective in house marketing stack, rapidly iterating performance ads, creating compelling content and mentoring existing staff. Achieved a 20% reduction in cost per acquisition for new members over the 6 month transformation.

Planned and implemented worldwide advertising campaigns for the launch of new mobile handsets in India, Canada, Australia and UK. Coordinated the launch with global agency partners, as well as retailer partners in each country. Responsible for $10m global advertising budget, achieving 17% awareness of our brand amongst our target audience 6 months after launch.

NBC-Universal (Comcast)
Set up and ran the marketing function for the E! and Style TV networks across the EMEA region. Responsible for $8m pan EMEA advertising campaigns, working closely with head office in LA and local partners in each European country. Launched channel in 14 countries and built multi million pound ‘contra deals’ with major brands such as OK! Magazine, McDonalds and London Transport.
